The Christmas tree is one of the most recognisable holiday symbols in the world and choosing the family Christmas tree is a tradition honoured by millions of families around the world. Anyone who celebrates Christmas will likely have fond memories of finding the perfect tree and spending the entire day decorating it to perfection. The Christmas tree farm experience is a tradition that is passed from generation to generation which is part of the reason I wanted to start SuziQ’s Garden, to be able to contribute to those traditions and provide a place for Central Otago families to kickstart their Christmas.
I’ve had families who have come in saying their parents would take them to the Christmas tree farm every year and now, they have their own children and are passing on that tradition. It’s an honour to be a part of so many family traditions in New Zealand.
At SuziQ’s, our Christmas Tree Farm opens from Labour weekend, and as this is the last long weekend till Christmas we are available to support locals and visitors Christmas tree choice, by holding it for your special required date for your Christmas celebration.
Once you arrive at SuziQ’s you’ll be greeted by me, Suzette. I own and operate the farm and will be delighted to show you around and walk you through the process of choosing a tree. The Christmas tree farm experience is self-directed so once you have the lay of the land, you’ll be free to roam the Christmas tree rows at your own pace.
All of my Christmas trees are Christmas Pinus Radiata and vary in shapes and sizes. The prices correspond with the size and shape of the tree. Once you have found that perfect tree for your location, be sure to double-check that it’s not already tagged and spoken for by another customer. At SuziQ’s we provide the saw but you get the joy of cutting down your tree. I am available and always happy to assist if required.

We also have available many Peony blooms alongside our Christmas trees. Our vibrant Crimson, Red and White peonies are a perfect companion for your tree. You are welcome to roam the fields of peonies that will still be in flower during your visit. I’m very happy to take Peony orders for your Christmas day, table, and every other day celebration during our blooming season.
